(NYO-China)
YES Foundation is proud to be the presenting foundation of the National Youth Orchestra of China (NYO-China) for their international and inaugural debut on July 22, 2017 at Carnegie Hall.
By fully funding this program, YES Foundation provides promising young musicians in China the access to outstanding instructional and performance opportunities, allowing them to serve as ambassadors for classical music and for their country in the finest venues throughout the world.
Overview

2019 EUROPE TOUR
This coming summer, NYO-China will visit premier venues in the most storied capitals of music across Europe. In July of 2019, students will gather for two weeks of training held on campus within China, and thereafter embark on a week-long concert tour of the European continent alongside two of the world’s premier artists. More information and audition details to be released shortly.

2018 CHAMBER SERIES
In 2018, NYO-China returned with a training residency focused on the art of chamber music performance and held on campus at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. After two weeks, students presented a series of chamber concerts held throughout China, including performances at the Central Conservatory of Music, the Yale Center and American Embassy in Beijing, and the Qingdao and Chuansha music festivals.

2017 INAUGURAL TOUR
NYO-China launched in 2017 with a two-week residency and a concert tour of the United States and China, featuring Seattle Symphony Music Director Ludovic Morlot and renowned pianists Yuja Wang and Olga Kern and beginning with a debut presented by Carnegie Hall to critical acclaim from numerous publications, including The New York Times.
